I have built websites and now it looks like blogs are changing everything.I would really like to get some good advice on this. I have been trying internet marketing for about six months with mixed results.I have a list of over 1000 as of this morning and growing everyday.I try to learn as much as I can from where ever I can and from who ever I can.
So any advice and information would be great, and not taken lightly.

Thanks

Billt

Yes, you definitively want to use a blog. However, you should still have your websites.

Here is what I do with great success:

I set up a site: http://www.Mysite.com, and then, I add a blog on a new folder, so it becomes:

http://www.Mysite.com/blog

This works great: both for visitors and search engine, because everyone is up to date!

I think you should use both. I have also a blog on my site.

Blogging is the wave of the present, not the future. It may very well be around for a long time as it really allows you to get content online quickly. When you combine social bookmarking, rss feeds, Web 2.0, etc. you can do it all with a quality blog. Plus search engines love them which can bring even more targeted traffic!

This is a hot question.
For now, blogging is indeed a great medium for your
business and if compare with normal websites, it is
easier to manage.

The only setback of blogs is that you need to
constantly come up with fresh content.

For me, I don't know what's going to happen in the
future, maybe when web 3.0 arrive, there won't be
any blogs...?

So just stick with the wave right now..

I think blogs will have a new heights in future. This is because they are easy to maintain and caching is done regularly if updated.

I love blogs Smile

Yep, you're right. Blog is easy to maintain and
it takes only a few minutes to create a blog.

And because of this as well, there are a lot of
abandoned blogs out there.

Maybe one day Google will change it's algorithm
and blog will never get rank as highly as normal
website.

However, until now, blog is still the best way
to leverage on your online venture. Happy blogging~!

Definitely.... thats the reason i love them. Also Blogging gave us the opportunity to stand out enough to support the life we envisioned for ourself. ''For your career, a blog is essential."

I have an interesting story about blogs.

Yeterday, I was going to subscribe to an Internet marketer's list, BUT before I subscribed, I decided to read his blog to find out what he got to offer.

The result?

I didn't subscribe because the blog was delivering very little value.

So it may be the future.

Blog software is just that... software. Do a search in any industry niche. How many of the sites are blogs?

Let me help you out: It is not the hammer, it's what you can do with the hammer. And while you are on to something trying to find the "right" hammer for your own needs. It's still just a tool.

Think about what you are really trying to accomplish - selling something to a consumer. Then figure out what tools will help you achieve your own objective.

I use a lot of different software tools. I'm big on software. I use software tools to create sites, to manage link campaigns, to create graphics, etc.

And there is no one perfect software tool for each project.

Blogs are just one more tool in the box.

Hi,
I tend to do both
I have websites and for each of my websites I have a blog

The blog is a ;ess formal method of communicating with your audience and also you can drive traffic to your website from your blog

Good luck
